New Zealand entered Covid-19 alert level 4 at one minute to midnight last night allowing only essential services to operate for the next month.
Accommodation services are allowed to stay open for essential workers, isolation or quarantine, or emergency housing.

The guidance notes that operators should not try to enforce the lockdown if guests ignore the restrictions. Instead, they should email NHCCselfisolation@health.govt.nz to report.
“Not following the restrictions may include things like changing accommodation frequently or congregating in large groups,” aid the guidelines.
